Why use drones?

Some of the key reasons to use drones is safety, speed and cost savings and more detailed data.  Often drones replace people working in risky situations, such as from heights or over water.  Being able to capture imagery from the safety of the ground or on land reduces risk to personnel in many situations.  The speed at which high resolution data can be collected is vastly improved when using aircraft over land based vehicles, however the cost of using drones is significantly lower than manned aircraft.  They are becoming an important tool in many industries.  However, the challenge presented by drones and the sensors they hold, is the vast amount of data collected. Experienced professionals are needed to interpret the data and support the development of applications that influence on ground management decisions.

AirBorn Insight are experienced certified drone operators in Toowoomba, Queensland, our aim is to partner with business to deliver insight via the collection of imagery from a drone, and not just pretty pictures.  The AirBorn Insight directors are a mechatronic engineer and research scientist who use data collected from new remote sensing technologies to support the development of innovative solutions for the businesses they work with.  Our team includes a GIS specialist and big data analyst, and together we aim to find solutions which increase efficiency of on ground management practices.  We transform imagery into meaningful information to develop innovative solutions to reduce costs and improve production for the business and people we work with.
